Helping nonprofit leaders do more —

Since 2014, we've helped leaders gain knowledge and skills to solve problems and create systemic change at the local and national level. More than 39,000 have participated in our programs, refining their skills to improve the communities they serve, all at no cost to them or their organizations.

Nonprofit Management Essentials Online Program —

The Allstate Foundation offers free online training programs for nonprofit professionals through Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management's Center for Nonprofit Management.

Program details:

Designed for leaders managing teams, board members looking to expand their knowledge, professionals new to the nonprofit sector.
Offered in three formats to meet individual needs.
Includes content on key theories: impact measurement, board governance, fundraising, diversity, equity and inclusion, and more.

Get on-demand access to more than 70 short training videos whenever it fits your schedule. Join Online Connection for 8 weeks of facilitated training, or learn to structure and facilitate a your own cohort with DIY Facilitation.

Executive Leadership Program —

Nonprofit leaders can take their leadership skills to the next level through this program created in partnership Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management's Center for Nonprofit Management. In an immersive, collaborative environment, the program combines theory and practice to address challenges unique to the philanthropic sector.

Program details:

Designed for nonprofit leaders who have more than 10 years of professional experience.
Helps 30 leaders annually, advancing their career and growing their impact.
Combines cohort-based academic instruction, executive coaching and peer-led learning.
All program elements, including travel expenses, are fully funded by The Allstate Foundation.

Applications for the next cohort will open in summer 2025.
