Contingent Worker Privacy Statement

Your privacy is very important to us. This privacy statement describes the privacy practices of Allstate Family of Companies (“Allstate”) as it relates to the collection, use and sharing of personal information relating to contingent workers regardless of status.
Sources of personal information collection
We collect personal information from you directly, automatically when you visit a website, mobile app or similar methods and from third parties. We also create information about you in the context of a prospective or current working relationship. The following explains the personal information under each of these categories.
Information collected directly from you:
We, and service providers, collect personal information from you directly as part of your working relationship, or when an individual is selected to provide contracted work. This includes personal information provided in resumes and applications, information collected in connection with the onboarding process and as part of your working relationship. This may include information to provide payment for work provided, which may include, social security number, address, and bank information for direct deposits if applicable.
Information collected automatically:
We and service providers working on our behalf collect information from you when you use our websites, mobile apps, view our emails or otherwise engage with us through a computer or mobile device ("Sites"). We may monitor the use of our premises, equipment, devices, computers, network, applications, software, and similar assets and resources which may result in the collection of personal information about you. This monitoring may include the use of cameras in and around our premises or electronic monitoring technologies via our networks.
Information collected from third parties:
We may collect personal information about you from third parties such as consumer reporting agencies, job websites, application providers, and data providers for purposes of establishing a working relationship. We may also collect personal information from third parties such as social networking sites or other application providers who have your consent to share the personal information or otherwise have the right to share the personal information with us.
Information created about you:
We may collect or create information about you based on our interaction with you as a prospective or current worker.
Categories of personal information
The following are the categories of personal information that we may have collected and shared about you with examples of the information that fall into those categories:
Personal identifiers |
Name, alias, postal address, email address, account name, Social Security number, driver's license number, passport number, unique personal identifier, online identifier, Internet Protocol (IP) address, or other similar identifiers. |

A signature, description of your physical characteristics, phone number, state identification card number, insurance policy number, date of birth, family member information, bank account number, credit card number or other payment or financial information, medical information or health insurance information. |

Inferences drawn from any personal information collected to create a profile reflecting preferences, characteristics, psychological trends, predispositions, behavior, attitudes, intelligence, abilities and aptitudes. |
Our Sites are not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of sixteen.
Use of your information
We use personal information collected from or about you for business purposes including where applicable to:
- Process any application/forms related to your work assignment and to otherwise determine eligibility for an assignment,
- Identify, review and manage candidacy for work assignments,
- Provide worker feedback, and conduct investigations,
- Comply with legal requirements, assist in an investigation, comply with requests from regulatory and law enforcement authorities and meet contractual obligations,
- Communicate with you via email, mail or other methods about, technology or services offered or other information relevant to performing contracted for work,
- Analyze, improve or develop processes or tools related to your work assignment which may use algorithms, analytics software, research studies, surveys, and other similar methods,
- Protect the safety and security of our business, services, and Sites including to prevent suspected fraud, threats to our network or other illegal activities, prevent misuse or for any other reason permitted by law,
- Analyze worker data, and forecast workforce trends, and
- Carry out other activities that may be necessary in the normal course of our working relationship with you.
Sharing of your information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your personal information with our affiliates for business purposes consistent with the uses described in this Privacy Statement. Additionally, we may share information about you with your employer in connection with your assignment. We may also share information about you with third parties whenever you consent to or direct such sharing. We strive to work with companies that share our commitment to privacy. We may also share information with others in an aggregated or de-identified form that does not reasonably identify you.
We may also share your personal or other information with third parties for business purposes or as required or permitted by law including with:
- Service providers: Personal information may be shared with service providers who perform services on our behalf to carry out the uses of personal information described above in section titled ‘Use of Your Information'.
- Third parties in connection with a business transaction: Personal information may be disclosed to third parties in connection with a corporate transaction, such as a merger, sale of any or all of our company assets or shares, reorganization, financing, change of control or acquisition of all or a portion of our business by an affiliate or third party, or in the event of a bankruptcy or related or similar proceedings.
- Law enforcement, regulators and other parties for legal reasons: Personal information may be disclosed to third parties, as required by law or subpoena, or if we reasonably believe such action is necessary to:
- comply with the law and the reasonable requests of regulators, court orders, law enforcement or other public authorities, such as a subpoena, government audit or search warrant,
- comply with a contract or as necessary to establish, exercise or defend against potential, threatened or actual litigation,
- protect us, your vital interests, or those of another person, and
- investigate fraud or to protect the security or integrity of our Sites or any product or services.
Cookies and other tracking technologies
Technologies and Information Collected: When you visit our Sites, we and our service providers automatically collect personal and other information about your use and access of these Sites. We collect this information through a variety of tracking technologies, including cookies, Flash objects, web beacons (also called pixel tags), embedded scripts, location-identifying technologies, and similar technology (collectively, "tracking technologies"). Information we collect automatically about you may be combined with other information we collect directly. The information collected in this manner includes:
- The website from where you accessed the Site, where you went to when you left the Site, how frequently you visit the Sites, when and whether you open emails or click the links contained in emails, pages you visit on our Sites, the links you click and ads you view, or your location when you access our Sites,

- Analytics information collected ourselves or via third party analytics tools, to help us measure traffic and usage trends for the Sites and to understand more about the demographics and behaviors of our users, and
- How often you use a mobile app, from where the app was downloaded, events that occur within the app, aggregated usage, and performance data.
Use of the information: We or our service providers may use the information collected through tracking technologies to improve, enhance and personalize your customer experience, to monitor and improve our Sites and for other internal purposes such as to:
- Remember information so that you will not have to re-enter it during your visit or the next time you visit the Sites,
- Provide custom, personalized content and information, including targeted content and advertising,
- Evaluate our marketing campaigns and analyze how our applications and websites are used,

Security
The security of your personal information is important to us. We use a combination of reasonable technical, administrative, and physical safeguards to protect your personal information. However, no website, mobile application, database or system is completely secure or "hacker proof." So, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. You are also responsible for taking reasonable steps to protect your personal information against unauthorized disclosure or misuse and to follow and implement all policies and practices to protect personal information collected by us.
We limit access to your personal information to those who need it to do their jobs. We comply with all applicable federal and state data security laws.
